Patrick Dorvilus, M.D., Gastroenterologist & Digestive Disease Specialist


Patrick Dorvilus, M.D., earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York, N.Y., in 1996. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, N.Y., and went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Dorvilus then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Montefiore Medical Center in New York in 2003.


Dr. Dorvilus is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He is proficient in Linear Endoscopic Ultrasound with all therapeutic procedures involving Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Gastrostomy tube placement, Colonoscopy, and digestive wellness topics. He is affiliated with Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he serves as a clinical instructor.


In 1992, Dr. Dorvilus was awarded the Mack Lipkin Broader Horizons Fellowship for research and the E.Y. Harbur Scholarship for Clinical Excellence. In 1993, he was awarded the American Society of Hematology Summer Research Fellowship and then received the Sidney and Eleanor Silverman Human Values Award in 1994.


During his education, Dr. Dorvilus participated in research projects conducted at the Yale University School of Medicine, the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, the New York University School of Medicine, the Cornell University School of Medicine, the Children's Hospital of Oakland, Calif., and the City College of New York, CUNY Medical School. He has also had articles published in medical journals including Blood and the Journal of the National Medical Association.


Dr. Dorvilus currently serves as a board member and medical director of the AIM100 Wellness Center in Manchester, Conn., and he is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
